Bee swarm cluster in tree

IMAG0182 IMG_8702editWe just wanted to give our families a heads up that we discovered a bee swarm cluster in our tall oak tree today. As we understand, the bees gather in a tree and may stop for a few hours to a few days until they move on to a new location.  It is very likely they will be gone in the morning.  If they are not, as a precautionary measure, we will have all outdoor activities in our gym rather than outside.  Should the bees still be at school on Friday, a beekeeper will be called to assess the situation.   Feel free to give the director a call in the morning should you have any questions or to check on the status of the bees.

Update:  The bees have moved on, but they left us a fascinating gift.  Nature is amazing!
